Take a Look Around the Farm

What to Wear & Bring

Farm sessions take place outdoors in all kinds of weather, so it's important to come prepared. Below you'll find our suggestions on what to wear and what to bring to help you stay comfortable during your sessions.

What to Wear

Winter Months

During the colder months, we recommend wearing warm, comfortable clothing such as:

  • Long-sleeved tops

  • Jumpers

  • Warm coat

  • Waterproof footwear such as wellies

If you don't have wellies, please wear shoes you don't mind getting muddy, as the farm can be wet and muddy during the winter months.

Don't worry if you forget or don't have suitable clothing, we have a selection of spare coats and wellies available for Farm Assistants to borrow if needed.

Summer Months

During the summer months, we recommend wearing cool, comfortable clothing such as:

  • T-shirts

  • Shorts

  • Closed-toe trainers or other sturdy footwear

  • A sun hat for sunny days

For everyone's safety, unsuitable footwear such as sandals, flip-flops or crocs cannot be worn during farm activities. If a Farm Assistant arrives wearing unsuitable shoes, activities will be limited as we are unable to enter the animal paddocks without suitable footwear.

What to Bring

To help you stay comfortable throughout your farm session, we recommend bringing a few essentials depending on the weather.

  • A  water bottle especially on hot days.

  • Sun cream, which should already be applied before you arrive.

  • Waterproofs on wet or rainy days.

  • A warm hat and gloves during colder weather.

Please remember that farm sessions take place outdoors, so it's always a good idea to check the weather before your sessions so you can come prepared.
