Animal-Assisted Intervention
Animal-Assisted Intervention sessions will be led by either an Occupational Therapist or an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Once you have had your initial assessment you will be offered one to one or group sessions. Activities will be planned to help you reach your goals.
Animal-Assisted Intervention sessions are offered in blocks of 6 or 7 weeks in line with our annual timetable, these can be one-off or ongoing. They will offered in 1 or 2 hourly sessions to promote engagement and the best outcome. Your progress will be reviewed every 6 weeks.

We personalise every plan for the specific needs of the person. Whether it's help with communication, social cues, sensory skills, self-confidence, stress relief, empathy, teamwork or you just want to learn a new skill, we have the expertise to help you. Some of the tasks involved may include:
